Hello, good to meet you

My name is Andrew Eberlin and here is a little introduction…

In 2006 I took the plunge, left the monthly salary behind and started designing websites for local businesses and community groups.

It was a more innocent time. Social media was only a niche interest and the launch of the iPhone was still a year away.

Things change, but technological innovation and new ways of interacting online means I keep on learning, adapting and improving.

That’s why I love what I do. It keeps me fresh and keeps life interesting.

Some of the things I care about

  1. Being a small business, customer care is personal. I pride myself in offering clients practical, timely and inspired solutions.

  2. I love building long lasting partnerships and have worked with many clients for more than a decade.

  3. I remain curious... be it in my clients, or spending time keeping up to date with the latest trends. I enjoy learning new skills, collaborating with clever people and experimenting with new ideas so that the good ones can be passed onto you.

“I couldn't rate Andrew and Brighter Side enough. Always happy to answer all of my questions (no matter how silly) and find solutions to ensure my website is the best it can be. Efficient and friendly, I can't imagine doing my job without him.”

Community

Being active in my hometown of Bradford on Avon community is an important part of what makes me tick.

Bradford on Avon Photography Group

In 2009, I was a founding member of the Bradford on Avon Photography Group. We are an informal group who love taking photos. We have a relaxed attitude to which camera or phone is used and feel photography ‘rules’ are there to be broken.

We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Dog and Fox. New members are always welcome.

Our next annual exhibition is from Saturday 4th May to Monday 6th May 2024 at the West Barn.

Volunteering

I am a Trustee of the Bradford on Avon Preservation Trust which helps to conserve and enhance the heritage of our beautiful town. We have recently donated to Skate BoA which helped them reach their fundraising target of £250,000. Building for the new skate park began in May and it was opened in August.

With Jim Hughes, I organise Bradford Talks on the 4th Wednesday of each month. We invite local speakers who share original ideas and provoke new ways of thinking through stories.

I also support Victoria Woodman who organises the monthly business breakfasts on the third Friday of each month. The format is relaxed: no speeches, no name badges, no referrals - just informal, welcoming and friendly networking. If you are nearby, please do come along.

Web design

I dedicate some of my time to helping community groups with their websites at a significantly reduced rate.

Are you thinking about a new website?

I’d be happy to have a (no pressure) chat to discuss your ideas.

Service, fairness and professionalism

99 years ago, my grandfather started an architectural practice in Nottingham. He established a tradition of “service, fairness and professionalism.” In 1970 my father reiterated these principles and in turn, I have adopted them.

Service

Demonstrated by the number of clients who I still work with after a decade (18), and how many found me via personal recommendation (an estimated 97 since 2006).

Fairness

All jobs are treated equally no matter the budget. Every person and every project merits quality time, respect and the best work I can give.

Professionalism

Taking pride in my work, being attentive to detail and continually improving. Maintaining my curiousity to avoid creative stagnation.
